This is what it will look like when you finish.
Step one: Go to your history brush. Shortcut is Y. This is the history brush
Step two: Take a snapshot of the image. This means that you are saving what an image looks like at the time. The way you use the history brush is to take a snapshot of two or more images, and when you click one snapshot's thumbnail and paint, that part of the image will appear! Make sure you have 'history' open and click here to take a snapshot. Make sure the layer with the woman is selected.
Step 3: Desaturate the image (command shift u). Then, take a snap. Undo the desaturation by pressing command/control z. though you undid the desaturation, the snap continues to be there thus we'll be mistreatment that. BTW you'll name your snapshots. I name mine original and desat. The fun is getting ready to get started! Here is what your history tab ought to appear as if to date.
Step 4: Make sure desat. is selected. Your image should turn black and white. Put your history brush icon in the little square for original. Now, paint on the flower! The history brush 'paints' using the information recorded in the corresponding history window (in this case, the colored version.)
I thought it would look cool to put in a little bit of her eyes, lips, and tattoo. Since her eyes are already gray, I used a 100% opacity brush on them. I lowered the brush opacity for the lips and tat. If you mess up and the lines are bad, switch and put your brush icon on the desatured image and paint it back
When taking your snapshots, you'll be able to conjointly use multiple snapshots creating use of various adjustment layers, filters - and every one varieties of effects. simply use the technique delineated higher than and confirm you decide on the 'Historical Effect' you wish to repaint.
Have fun! If you have got any queries, PM me. :)
