Simple Celebrity Face Swap
I'll be using these sources - "Portrait of Countess D'Houssenville" by Ingres and Liv Tyler.

Notice the angle of Liv's face closely matches the woman within the original painting. use caution once flipping a supply image. the majority do not have symmetrical faces and flipping them will build them look terribly completely different. usually you are best to flip the first painting instead of the celeb supply icon.

Copy in Liv's face over the original girl and reduce the opacity. Line up the eyes and mouth as closely as possible.

Bring Liv's opacity back up to 100% and erase away the bits of her face you don't need. Make sure the line from face to painting is very soft.

Liv's face is quite a bit slimmer than the painted girl, so use the clone stamp tool or content aware fill on the original painting layer to fix that. I've also used the smudge tool on Liv's face to remove the bit of white near her eye and cheek on the left side (her right)

Her face still has the green tint from the original photo so adjust the colour balance. I've also added just a hint (0.6) of gaussian blur to match the original painting.

Her face is kind of shiny compared to the flat matte of her arms and neck. On a replacement layer higher than the cardinal layer, paint with a soft brush set at concerning 100 percent flow, sampling the colors on her face, and paint away the shiny bits. Once you are proud of it merge the cardinal layer and paintover layer. I then other simply a trifle noise (Filter/Noise/Add Noise at 1%) and it's done.
